Cook 100 g of arhar dal for 30 min with cut drum sticks; brinjal; pumpkin and onion.
Add 2 big spoons of imli paste; red chilli powder and salt to taste. Also add 1 big spoon of Vasant Sambhar Masala.
For tadka; heat 2 table spoons of oil and add all the necessary spices for it.
Add this tadka to the dal mixture and let it boil for 2 min. Serve with hot dosas; idlis or uttpams.
